Who Can Participate?

- All artists must be residents of the City of Mandan or greater Morton County.
- Entries will be accepted in two categories: Ages 0-13, and Ages 14-Adult.
Design Requirements:
- Limited to one entry per person.
- Design should fit within a standard 8.5x11in paper size.
- To ensure sharp, clean lines, designs must be made using black sharpie or ballpoint pen on clean, blank white paper with no folds or wrinkles.
- Only black can be used in the design, no other colors or gradients.
- The name “Morton Mandan Public Library” must be incorporated in the design.
- The design must honor the theme “Adventures in Space”

- Submissions must be accompanied by the official entry form, and will be accepted via physical mail or email. They can also be turned in at the library circulation desk.

- Physical mail entries must arrive prior to the entry deadline. MMPL is not obligated to honor any entries that arrive past the entry deadline due to delays in the mail.
- Emailed designs must be saved as a high-resolution PDF, or if possible, in vector format.
- Emailed designs must include the artist's last name in the title (ex. Smith_title.pdf).
- All artwork must be 100% original. Copyrighted images and all other work will be disqualified.
Winners
A selection committee of MMPL staff will choose the winning designs and all decisions will be final. The winning designs will be announced by June 14th and posted on our Facebook page. The winning designs will be printed on the Summer Reading Program t-shirts and dispersed at the annual picnic.

Retention of designs: The entries become the exclusive property of MMPL and will not be returned to entrants. MMPL has exclusive rights to the reproduction of winning designs and the submitting artists relinquish all rights to such design.
